N.T. Wright Reading List

The Challenge of Jesus.

Simply Jesus.  We frequently hear in the mass media about the latest scholar’s bombshell discovery about Jesus.  It usually runs something like this: far from being the incarnate God who died on the Cross and rose from the tomb for our salvation, Jesus was merely a non-judgmental teacher of wisdom who was misunderstood by most of the people who heard him.   In other words, agnostic scholars of Christian origins are discovering that Jesus was really just like them!  Wright is an Anglican bishop and first-rate scholar of Christian origins who gives offers some accessible historical research for the debate about what Jesus actually said and did.  I cannot recommend these two books enough.

Simply Christian.

The Day Revolution Began.

After You Believe.

The Lord and His Prayer.

Simply Good News.

Scripture and the Authority of God.

Small Faith, Great God.

Paul: In Fresh Perspective.

What Saint Paul Really Said.
